Nathan Coburn - Founder of The Mullet Mentality

Nathan Coburn, the visionary behind The Mullet Mentality, grew up in the Blue Mountains, NSW. With a passion for soccer and a lineage of craftsmanship, he followed in his father's footsteps to become a carpenter. However, Nathan's journey was fraught with challenges. He struggled with mental health issues from a young age, compounded by bullying at school and a devastating knee injury that ended his sports aspirations. Tearing his knee at work left him feeling emasculated and inadequate, further exacerbated by being in a toxic relationship during this difficult time.

A pivotal moment in Nathan's life occurred when his best friend attempted suicide, and Nathan's intervention saved his friend's life. This traumatic event pushed Nathan to the brink, leading him to seek professional help. His doctor, recognising the bravery it took to ask for help, commended Nathan, marking the beginning of his healing journey.

Shortly after, Nathan was invited on an exclusive men's campaign trip organised by Nick Cummins, "The Honey Badger," and his best mate Blair, called the Rogue Gentlemen's Club. This transformative camping trip saved Nathan's life and ignited his passion to help other men facing similar struggles.

For the past four years, Nathan has been dedicated to organising charity days and fundraising events. His unwavering commitment culminated in the founding of The Mullet Mentality in 2023 with his mates Aaron Hofman and Alex Mills. This charity is dedicated to supporting men's mental health and breaking the stigma surrounding it, inspired by Nathan's own journey of resilience and recovery.

"True strength lies not in facing challenges alone, but in standing by your mates and lifting each other up when the weight of the world becomes too heavy to bear."
